The IAGTO Mallorca Trophy 2026 strengthens Mallorca’s international profile

Forty tour operators from 17 countries took part in a programme combining golf, professional meetings and destination-based experiences

Mallorca, September 2026. From 13 to 18 September, Mallorca hosted the IAGTO Mallorca Trophy 2026, a professional event that brought together 40 tour operators specialising in golf tourism from 17 countries across Europe and North America.

Organised by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO) in collaboration with the Mallorca Golf Courses Association (ACGM), the event received the institutional support and collaboration of the Regional Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Government of the Balearic Islands, through the Balearic Islands Tourism Strategy Agency (AETIB), as well as the Consell de Mallorca, the Mallorca Responsible Tourism Foundation and the Son Servera and Sant Llorenç Tourism Consortium.

Dirk Dünkler, President of the Mallorca Golf Courses Association, highlighted the importance of the event:

“Mallorca Golf Island has been delighted to host the IAGTO Mallorca Trophy. These days have provided a great opportunity to showcase the quality and diversity of our golf offering to international operators and, above all, to give them the chance to experience Mallorca first-hand. We would like to thank IAGTO and all our partners for their trust and commitment to the destination.”

Over five days, participants experienced first-hand the diversity of Mallorca’s golf and tourism offering through a programme that combined rounds at different golf courses, more than 600 professional meetings, gastronomy, networking and experiences connected to the island’s landscape and Mediterranean lifestyle.

The aim of the IAGTO Mallorca Trophy 2026 was to strengthen Mallorca’s positioning as an international golf destination and create new business opportunities between the invited operators and the island’s tourism companies.

A journey through Mallorca’s golf offering

The programme began on Sunday, 13 September, with the arrival of participants, an optional round at Son Antem East and a welcome dinner at Zoëtry Mallorca. Accommodation for this first stage of the trip was provided at Hacienda Son Antem Golf Resort, Autograph Collection.

The first full day began at Son Antem West, where the operators played nine holes. After lunch at Hacienda Son Antem, the afternoon was dedicated to the professional workshop, held at the same venue.

The workshop followed a reverse format, with representatives of the local tourism offering seated at their tables while the operators rotated between them. Each participating company had around 20 pre-scheduled appointments, as part of a programme that generated more than 600 B2B meetings between international buyers and Mallorca-based golf tourism suppliers.

The day concluded with dinner at Son Muntaner, within the Arabella Golf Mallorca setting, allowing professional exchanges to continue in a more relaxed atmosphere.

On the second day, participants visited Golf Son Gual, where they completed nine holes before travelling to INMOOD Aucanada for lunch. In the afternoon, the group played another nine holes at Club de Golf Alcanada, where dinner was also held.

The itinerary continued at Pula Golf Resort, which hosted the joint tournament between tour operators and representatives of the local tourism sector. The competition began with a shotgun start and concluded with lunch, the event presentation and the prize-giving ceremony. The day ended with dinner and a celebration at the Iglesia Nueva de Son Servera, adding a cultural and social dimension to the programme.

The final day of golf began at Golf Son Servera and continued, after lunch, at Capdepera Golf. The farewell dinner brought several days of shared experiences, both on and off the course, to a close.

During the second part of the trip, accommodation for participants was provided courtesy of Hipotels Hotels & Resorts and CM Hotels, which also joined the event as hosts.

Events that connect the destination with those who market it

The IAGTO Mallorca Trophy 2026 presented Mallorca as a destination that goes far beyond golf: an island with first-class courses, an extensive hotel offering, a strong gastronomic identity, cultural richness, outstanding landscapes and Mediterranean hospitality.

The event concluded with new professional connections, greater awareness of the local offering and future opportunities to market Mallorca internationally.
